So you don’t have to keep it all in your head.

I’m dunel, a personal assistant for your iPhone. Tell me something once, and I add it, remind you and show it to you again when you need it.

The idea

Tell me once. Then it’s off your mind.

Everyone carries too much around. The pediatrician appointment, the due date of an invoice, what you promised someone. It sits in chats, on sticky notes and in voice memos to yourself, and when you need it, you can’t find it.

dunel is the one place for all of it. You type, speak or send a photo, just as it comes to mind. I turn it into events, tasks and lists, remind you when you give me a time, and later show you your own sentence, word for word and with its date.

Principles

How we build dunel.

Four rules we hold every new feature to.

  • Your words stay yours.

    I summarize when it helps. But when I quote you, it’s your sentence, exactly as you said it.

  • Only what really works.

    This website only describes what dunel can do today. What’s still missing, we say openly, including in the FAQ.

  • You have the last word.

    Under everything I add, there’s “Looks good” and “not right”. One tap, and I take it back.

  • Quiet, not loud.

    I remind you when you give me a time. Your Lock Screen then shows only the title, never your sentence.

These things don’t depend on the AI getting it right. The app makes sure of them itself.

How it works in detail

  • Quotes are always your words.

    I only show a quote if it matches your original character for character. If I can’t find one, I don’t show you any sentence as yours.

  • Nothing gets overwritten.

    When something changes, a new version is added, and the old one stays readable.

  • No event out of thin air.

    Every event and every task is tied to the sentence in which you told me about it.

  • Take everything with you.

    One archive with everything, including your photos, recordings and files.

  • Delete everything.

    Your account and everything in it. How long traces can remain is explained under Security.

What I say freely on top can sometimes be off. Your sentence can’t.

dunel is developed in Germany by a small company. Who is behind it is in the legal notice.

Your messages, recordings, photos and files are stored in a data center in Frankfurt am Main. For answers, a specialized service helps, and that can happen outside the EU too. Who gets to see what is explained honestly under Security.
